Do you love wine, bacon and good music? Then we invite you to join us on May 6 for a day of “Blues, Bottles and Bacon” to celebrate an incredible journey.

You are a big reason for this extravaganza. Thanks to all you – our friends and customers of Mt. Vernon Winery –we are entering our 18th year of making wine and good friends.

For newer Mt. Vernon wine lovers who may not know our story, we established this winery in 1996 and pioneered the production of many foothill grapes, including some of your favorites varietals like Zinfandel, Barbara, Pinot Noir and Syrah.

The big day will feature the blues band Two-Tone Steiny & The Cadillacs. For the “Bacon,” we are inviting the Bacon Mania Food Truck. And of course, we’re bringing the wine.

Mark “Steiny” Steinmetz will bring his unique blend of blues classics and original tunes, as well as a group of seasoned blue veterans for a concert you won’t soon forget. The high-energy band electrifies its audience with its polished music making of harmonic-drive, Chicago-style blues tunes.

Take a listen here for yourself:

To satisfy your appetite, we invited a premier food truck that serves up mouth-watering foods featuring a TON of bacon.

Bacon Mania makes no apologies for its “unabashedly American man food” creations. The sizzling menu items in the past have included Big Pig (slow roasted pulled pork and bacon sandwiches); the Famous Jack Back Sammie (inside-out twice-grilled cheese sandwich stuffed with, of course, hickory bacon); the Boss Hog Bacon Cheeseburger, Bacon Wrapped Dogs and so much more!

In addition to a fun, action-packed afternoon of blues music, food and wine, our event will also include art and jewelry displays and live demonstrations of clay sculpting and paintings.

The fun begins at 11 a.m. and it won’t end until the late afternoon. We hope you have enjoyable day of great food, wine, music and the company of your friends and family.

Please note that the band will perform from noon to 3 p.m. and the food truck will be there from noon to 5 p.m.

If you would like to visit us before our big celebration, our tasting room is open Thursday through Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. In addition to the wine, you’ll love the Mt. Vernon grounds in the grassy foothills of Auburn.
