The tasting room is an old restored milk house originally built in 1950. Jim and Lynda Taylor purchased their estate unaware of the incredible possibilities the rich and nurtured land would hold for their winery. Mt.Vernon is commited to meticulous vineyard management resulting in a small but spectacular production of their estate bottled wines.

Mt Vernon Winery offers 16 to 18 fabulous wines for tasting!!  Take the time during your visit to enjoy a glass or even a bottle of wine with your friends on the estate grounds.  The winery has beautiful areas that overlook the vineyards with big red umbrellas, humming bird feeders, roses, flowers and trees to delight your senses.

When you visit Mt Vernon Winery’s tasting room you will meet the lovely family and staff. 

Lynda Taylor the owner can be found behind the bar serving our guests and telling wonderful stories about the winery.

Ryan Taylor our winemaker is usually in the vineyards or his wine lab. He enjoys mingling with our guests and sharing his knowledge about winemaking and wine in general.

Jim Taylor the owner loves to make surprise appearances to help out our staff and pour wine for our guests and answer any and all questions about how the winery got started.

Our wine tasting staff is a wonderful part of the Mt Vernon Winery family – they are a very knowledgeable and fun group of people that are sure to make your experience memorable.
